A work-from-home arrangement changes where work happens, not the need for clear responsibilities. Before accepting a remote role in India, check whether its practical requirements fit your workspace, equipment and availability.

Equipment and access

Ask whether the role requires a computer or supports a phone, which operating systems are supported and who supplies approved software. Do not assume that a mobile-friendly application form means the work itself can be completed entirely on a phone.

For EarnStarter applications, personal bank accounts are not required according to the published recruitment information. Confirm the company-approved tools and access arrangements for your specific role during the interview. Never provide account passwords, OTPs or wallet recovery phrases.

Availability is different from flexibility

A remote role may still require fixed shifts, response times or scheduled handovers. Ask about the working timezone, expected hours and how absences are handled. If you are combining the role with other commitments, explain your available hours before accepting the offer.

A practical interview checklist

  • Which device and connection are necessary?
  • Are shifts fixed or agreed individually?
  • Who provides access and resolves technical problems?
  • What records demonstrate completed work?
  • When are approved tasks included in the payment calculation?

EarnStarter uses an application and manager interview process. Approved applicants receive a documented workflow. The written role terms should settle equipment, schedule and payment questions before work begins.
